- Will people know I’m in treatment? We value your privacy, and our services are 100% confidential. While some of our clients are referred to us by their employers, unions, or peers, many others come to us on their own. We’ll never share any personal or identifiable details without your consent.
- What about my job? When can I get back on the tools? That depends on your needs and your individualized treatment plan. Many of our clients never go off the tools, while others might need to take a break. One thing’s for certain: your job will be much more secure with treatment than without.
- Who pays for all this? BuildStrong by CIRP is proudly supported by both the Construction Labour Relations Association of BC and the BC Building Trades. Thanks to the support of both groups, all of our services are offered free at point-of-care to all of our 45,000+ members and their families.
- Do I need to be referred by someone? No referrals are necessary. Give us a call or register through our website, and we’ll get started.

Do you offer other services aside from individualized treatment?
Yes! BuildStrong by CIRP is proud to offer on-site training, education and outreach to unions and contractors, as well as in-depth Mental Health Stewardship training, and FREE Naloxone kits.
Visit out Training page to learn more - How long is treatment? Everyone’s different, and so is their treatment. On average, it will take about 7 working days to begin treatment, and most will start to feel better (what we call “Stabilization”) within about 4 weeks. After that, we’ll work on helping you build resiliency for up to 11 more months.
- Who is eligible for service? We serve workers within BC’s unionized construction, trades, and technical industries, along with their families and loved ones. This includes union members within BC Building Trades, as well as employees of companies that belong to the Construction Labour Relations Association of BC.
